Unique essential oil vaporizer -15-2
15. 2. 2024
In this workshop, we will use old iron furniture tubes and cold-rolled iron to create a unique essential oil vaporiser.
The workshop programme is intergenerational and is aimed at participants aged 10 to 99 who want to acquire basic skills in the use of metalworking power tools such as angle grinders and band saws, and learn the basics of MIG/MAG welding. Experienced power tool users with MIG/MAG and TIG welding skills are also welcome.
The aim of the programme is to learn the working process from sketch to product with all intermediate stations. The end result will be an iron evaporator, which is a beautiful decoration of the living space as well as a beautiful and original gift.
In the workshop, after the sketch has been made, we will discuss with the lab leader/mentor which work processes will be used for the production. The working processes will be: bending the pipe on the arc bending machine, bending the cold rolled iron, cutting the pipe on the band saw and the cold rolled iron with the angle grinder to the length specified in the sketch. Cutting with angle grinder at an angle. Assembly of the elements into a whole. Welding in MIG/MAG or TIG. Grinding of the product. Surface finishing.
Participants will gain skills in sketching, designing, cutting, material cutting, welding, and surface finishing, as well as basic skills in the use of machines and power tools needed to make an evaporator.
The workshop will be alternately led by the metalworking lab manager, Jaka Mihelič, and the mentor, Tajda Novšak.
The workshop participants will gather 5 minutes before the agreed time in the entrance hall of the Center Rog.
The workshop will be held with a minimum of two registrations. In the event of a no-show, you will be informed at least two days before the start of the programme.
Workshop fees are non-refundable. Participation in the workshop can be transferred to another person; please inform us at least 24 hours before the start of the workshop by email at info@center-rog.si.
