Earrings That Bring the Holiday Spirit

In this fun workshop, you’ll be guided through the entire process of creating statement holiday earrings using a combination of brass and silver.

During the workshop, you’ll learn the basics of sawing, filing, and polishing metal, as well as an introduction to soldering—joining different metal parts into a cohesive piece.

You’ll start with small pieces of sheet metal. After sketching your desired design onto the brass sheet, you’ll follow the mentor’s instructions to saw, file, and polish it. The prepared designs can then be textured or polished according to your preference. Using techniques like twisting and hammering, you will shape a fluid, three-dimensional form that will become your statement earrings. In the final step, silver components will be soldered to the metal form to complete your unique creation.

The workshop is suitable for adults and serves as an excellent introduction for those new to jewelry-making.

About the Mentors:

The workshop will be led by mentors from the Jewelry Lab.

Participants should arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time in the main lobby of Center Rog. Please store your personal belongings in the lockers indicated by the mentor. Late arrivals may disrupt the workflow, and access to the lab cannot be guaranteed.

The program is conducted in Slovenian unless otherwise specified. The programme is for participants 14+.

If the workshop is canceled, you will be notified two days before the scheduled start.

If you cannot attend, fees are non-refundable, and rescheduling is not possible. However, participation can be transferred to another person. Please notify us at least 24 hours before the program starts via email at nakit@center-rog.si.
