Planetary Sculpture: An Exploratory Cooking Workshop
27. 11. 2026
With Genomic Gastronomy, we will use tasting, cooking and maps to explore how eating habits shape planetary patterns.
Local and global ingredients and specially prepared interactive maps will help us discover relationships between organisms, environments and food cultures on a warming planet. Rather than following fixed recipes, we will work through guided tastings, culinary experiments and discussion.
Drawing on fifteen years of the collective’s projects, we will develop prototypes of dishes and experiences such as Smog Tasting, Travelling Terroir and Food Forest Fantasies. We will move between individual ingredients, agroecological landscapes and global food systems, discovering connections between food and place.
The workshop welcomes curious cooks, designers, artists and anyone interested in food and ecological change. No experience in cooking or reading maps is required. It is part of Rog Design Days, under the theme More Than Us. You will leave with new ways of understanding relationships hidden in everyday foods.
The programme is held in English.
