My First 3D Print

At the workshop, we will show you how to transfer your idea from a sketch to a computer and from the computer to a 3D printer. Using the Tinkercad program, children will design their unique keychain pendant, which they will print and take home.

First, we will introduce children to the interface and tools of the Tinkercad program. With step-by-step instructions, we will guide them in designing their keychain pendant. Imagination knows no bounds here; they will have the freedom to choose shapes, colors, and add text or symbols. Once their designs take shape, we will help them export models into a format suitable for 3D printing and explain the process of 3D printing and how their designs will transform into physical objects. We will prepare 3D printers and print colorful keychain pendants.

The workshop is intended for children aged 8 to 14 years. It will be led by FabLab mentor Nuša Jurkovič.

Participants must bring their own laptop with a mouse to the workshop.

Participants should gather 15 minutes before the scheduled start time in the entrance hall of Center Rog. Please store your personal belongings in the lockers, which the mentor will show you. Please be on time, as late arrivals disrupt the workflow. In the case of a delay, entry to the lab cannot be guaranteed.

The program will be conducted in Slovenian unless otherwise stated.

In case of cancellation, you will be notified two days before the scheduled start.

If you are unable to attend the program, the registration fee is non-refundable, and it is not possible to change the date. You can transfer your participation to another person, but please notify us at least 24 hours before the program begins at the email address: fablab@center-rog.si
