A wooden holiday tree is truly something special, as it blends beautifully into both modern and more traditional interiors.

In this workshop at the woodworking lab, we will create a simple yet stunning wooden Christmas tree. We will learn the basics of woodworking such as sawing, drilling, simple joining techniques using glue, and basic surface finishing.

The workshop is intergenerational, primarily intended for families with children (8 to 14 years old). There is space for 5 pairs of children and parents. The price of the workshop is per pair of participants.

About the mentor:

The workshop will be led by Mira Lavtar, a mentor at the woodworking lab, a forestry student, and a graduate professor of mathematics and technology. She is passionate about wood, enjoying working with it and exploring its many possibilities. She loves mentoring and helping others discover their passion for wood. Through her studies and work, she has gained valuable experience in both teaching and woodworking. Her greatest satisfaction comes from sharing knowledge about wood and its properties and teaching others how to create with it.
