Making a copper bangle bracelet (in Slovenian)

Would you like to learn how to transform wire into a bracelet? Join us in the Jewelry Lab, where we will explore basic jewelry-making techniques and learn how to turn raw material into a refined, wearable piece.

Step by step, we will get to know working with fire and metal—from measuring and shaping the bracelet correctly, to joining, texturing, and final finishing. Special attention will be given to details that give the piece character and uniqueness.

In the workshop we will:

• measure the correct bracelet size according to the wrist;
• shape copper wire into a bangle bracelet;
• learn the basics of metal soldering using fire;
• texture the metal surface for a unique finish;
• carry out final finishing, sanding, and polishing;
• use a jeweler’s bench and basic jewelry-making tools.

The workshop is suitable for adults who want to learn new hands-on skills, work with materials, and create their own unique piece of jewelry.

At the end, you will take home a handmade copper bracelet and gain basic metalworking skills that you can further develop in future creative projects.

About the mentors

The workshop will be led by mentors from the Jewelry Lab.

Participants should gather 15 minutes before the start of the programme in the entrance lobby of Center Rog. Please store personal belongings in the lockers that will be shown to you by the mentor. Please arrive on time, as late entry into the lab cannot be guaranteed due to disruption of the working process.

The programme is conducted in Slovenian unless otherwise stated.

The programme is intended for participants aged 14 and above unless otherwise stated.

In case of cancellation, you will be notified two days before the scheduled start.

If you are unable to attend, fees are non-refundable and the date cannot be changed. Participation may be transferred to another person, provided you inform us at least 24 hours before the start at nakit@center-rog.si.
