Hand shaping of clay and potter's wheel

You will get to know selected tools and machines necessary for various techniques of hand shaping clay and the procedures for using the potter's wheel. We will also address safety measures, how to properly prepare materials and machines for independent use, and become familiar with the drying and firing processes of clay products.

After completing the training, you will be able to independently create on the workstations: a table for free-forming and a potter's wheel, offering numerous possibilities for creating ceramic products ranging from simple cups, mugs, and plates to more complex bowls, trays, vases, or even ceramic furniture.

The training will be led by a ceramic designer and head of the ceramic lab, Brigita Gantar.

Participants should meet 15 minutes before the agreed time in the entrance hall of the Center Rog. Please, before the start of the program, put your personal belongings in the locker rooms. Do not be late for the program. In case of delay, entry is not guaranteed - once the creative process begins, it is no longer possible to join in!

The training fee is non-refundable, and changing the date is not possible. Participation can be transferred to another person; please notify us at least 24 hours before the start via email at steklokeramika@center-rog.si.
