Customized ceramic items: 3D printing as a method of marking and decorating ceramics (in English)
5. 9. 2026
Join us for a three-day masterclass in which we will explore the possibilities of 3D clay printing and push the boundaries of our understanding of contemporary ceramics. We will focus on rethinking the key functional characteristics of ceramic objects and search for ways in which traditional forms can acquire a new, contemporary character through digital technologies.
In the working process, we will not focus on achieving a predetermined visual outcome; instead, we will devote space to exploration, experimentation, and the development of an individual creative approach. We will also address themes of sustainability, considering how digital tools can help us create innovative, responsible, and environmentally friendly solutions.
The course is conceived as an open space for the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experiences. It is open to anyone interested in the intersection of 3D clay printing, design, and art. We will learn the methodology of designing and developing three-dimensional forms, as well as the process of producing them using a ceramic 3D printer—from concept to physical object.
Particular emphasis will be placed on methods of applying decorative and informational elements. We will explore how motifs can be integrated already at the 3D modeling stage, as well as how they can be enhanced with manual painting and decorative techniques on relief surfaces. In this way, we will gradually develop a more conscious and confident use of both digital and analog techniques.
The course will be conducted in English.
