360° Clay Throwing

Would you like to explore clay throwing on the wheel or just spend a creative Saturday morning? Then the “Clay Throwing – 360°” workshop is perfect for you! In this workshop, you will be introduced to the basics of wheel throwing and gain foundational skills for further exploration and development of this technique.

Prerequisites:

NO, prior knowledge is not required. This workshop is intended for adults who wish to learn about clay throwing or advance their existing skills.

Is the workshop considered training?

YES, by participating in the workshop, you will complete training for handcrafting clay and using the pottery wheel.

About the mentors:

The workshop will be led by two mentors from the ceramics lab.

Barbara Gogala is a ceramic designer, potter, and psychologist. She is skilled in wheel throwing techniques and handcrafting with clay. Her main focus is on researching and formulating glazes.

Ines Polončič is a potter, ceramic designer, and educator. She specializes in pottery, handbuilding, and mold casting. She is trained in underglaze decoration techniques and traditional wheel throwing methods.

Meeting of participants is 15 minutes before the agreed time in the entrance hall of Center Rog. Please store your personal belongings in the lockers before the program starts. Do not be late for the program. In case of late arrival, entry is not guaranteed—once the creative process has started, you cannot join the session!

In case of cancellation, you will be informed no later than two days before the start of the program.

In case of non-attendance, fees are non-refundable and rescheduling is not possible. You may transfer your participation to another person; please inform us at least 24 hours before the start of the program via email at steklokeramika@center-rog.si.
