Sramežljivka is a pendant lamp designed to create a healthy and natural indoor environment using nothing but the intelligence of nature. Enclosed living and working spaces can pose significant health risks due to mould and the presence of harmful particles. Sramežljivka helps maintain optimal indoor humidity without the need for digital screens or distracting notifications. A design product by the architectural studio Dialekt, Sramežljivka takes the form of a flower whose petals open and close in response to changes in humidity, subtly alerting us when humidity levels are too high or too low. The design pays tribute to Slovenia’s natural heritage and endangered plant species. Sramežljivka offers an alternative to a market saturated with cheap and unreliable measuring devices that contribute to environmental pollution.
