Pottery Wheel for Children
13. 9. 2025
The workshop is designed for children aged 7 to 12 who are interested in working with clay and want to try their hand at the pottery wheel for the first time. It is structured as an exploration, learning, and playful experience with clay, where the process is more important than the final result.
Children will learn the basics of working on the wheel – from kneading and centering the clay to shaping and guiding it with their hands. They will also discover what happens when things don’t go exactly as planned, which is often the most fun part of creating.
At the end, the clay will be prepared for firing. If a piece is created that the child wishes to keep, the lab team will handle firing and glazing. Finished pieces will be available for collection approximately three weeks after the workshop.
