Vase from a Bottle

Join us for a workshop in our glass lab, where we will transform a waste bottle into a beautiful vase for fresh or dried flowers, which will also be a lovely decoration on its own.

We will enhance the vase using cold glassworking techniques – engraving, etching, and sandblasting, which allow for drawing on glass as well as creating patterns and reliefs.

The workshop is intended for adults. In addition to cold glassworking techniques, we will also explore principles of sustainability and recycling and get to know glass as a creative medium.

About the mentors:

The workshop will be led by two mentors from the glass-ceramics lab at Rog Center, Nika Šantej and Nina Podobnikar.

Participants should gather 15 minutes before the scheduled start time in the entrance hall of Center Rog. Please store your personal belongings in the lockers, which the mentor will show you. Please be on time, as late arrivals disrupt the workflow. In the case of a delay, entry to the lab cannot be guaranteed.

The program will be conducted in Slovenian unless otherwise stated. In case of cancellation, you will be notified two days before the scheduled start.

If you are unable to attend the program, the registration fee is non-refundable, and it is not possible to change the date. You can transfer your participation to another person, but please notify us at least 24 hours before the program begins at the email address: steklokeramika@center-rog.si
