Spinning wheel for tasting

If you want to learn about clay shaping on the wheel, then the workshop "Spinning Wheel Tasting" is just for you.

During the workshop, we will learn the basics of clay shaping on the pottery wheel and also acquire skills in manual clay shaping. We will create simple thrown cups and bowls. Each participant will create 2 to 4 pieces.

Duration: 2 sessions of 3 hours each

• Thursday, May 9, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
• Friday, May 10, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

or

• Thursday, May 30, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
• Friday, May 31, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Prerequisite:

NO, no prior knowledge is required. The workshop is intended for adults.

Does the workshop count as training?

YES, by participating in the workshop, you will complete training for manual clay shaping and the pottery wheel (worth €30 for members/€40 for non-members) – next time, you will be able to use this workstation independently during open sessions.

About the mentors:

The workshop will be led by Ines Polončič, a potter, ceramic designer, and educator. Specialized in pottery, manual clay shaping, and mold casting. Proficient in decorating techniques with underglaze colors and traditional wheel throwing techniques.

Participants should meet 15 minutes before the agreed time in the entrance hall of the Center Rog. Please, before the start of the program, put your personal belongings in the locker rooms. Do not be late for the program. In case of delay, entry is not guaranteed - once the creative process begins, it is no longer possible to join in!

The workshop will be conducted with a minimum of 5 registrations. In case it cannot be held, you will be informed at least two days before the start of the program.

We do not refund fees, and it is also not possible to change the date. Attendance can be transferred to another person; please notify us at least 24 hours before the start by email at steklokeramika@center-rog.si.
