Silver Clay Pendant

Would you like to create your first piece of silver jewellery? In this workshop, we will explore Art Clay Silver, an innovative material made from 100% recycled silver that makes it easy to create unique jewellery. Working with it feels much like shaping ordinary clay, but after firing it becomes 99.9% pure silver.

Together, we will create a silver pendant while learning the complete process – from shaping the clay to the final finishing touches. Along the way, we will discover how soft silver clay is transformed into a durable piece of jewellery.

During the workshop, we will:

• create a textured silver pendant,
• make a simple mould,
• engrave a word or motif,
• learn how to fire silver clay,
• finish and patinate the pendant.

You will leave with your own handcrafted silver pendant made from 99.9% silver, along with the knowledge needed to continue exploring this unique jewellery-making technique.

Who is the workshop for?

The workshop is suitable for anyone interested in jewellery making, including complete beginners.

No prior experience is required.

This workshop does not qualify as training for independent use of the Jewellery Lab.

About the mentor

Barbara Nardoni is an internationally certified Art Clay Silver instructor accredited by Art Clay World Europe and a member of the Alliance for Metal Clay Arts Worldwide. She is currently the only instructor teaching this technique in Slovenia and also leads certification courses for Art Clay Silver Levels 1 and 2. Over the past three and a half years, she has taught 34 workshops and courses attended by more than 120 participants. In her practice, she combines silver clay with traditional goldsmithing techniques and 3D CAD jewellery design.

Participants are asked to gather in the entrance hall of Center Rog 15 minutes before the programme begins. Please store your personal belongings in the lockers, which the mentor will show you. Please arrive on time, as late arrivals disrupt the workshop process and entry to the lab cannot be guaranteed.

The programme is intended for participants aged 14 and above.

The workshop is held in Slovenian.

If the programme is cancelled, you will be informed two days before the scheduled start.

If you are unable to attend, participation fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another date. You may transfer your booking to another person by informing us at least 24 hours before the workshop at nakit@center-rog.si.
