Modular Dome [5th Meeting]

Neighbour’s Day – Create, Collaborate, and Celebrate with Us

Join us for a preparatory meeting for Neighbour’s Day, where we will build a modular dome, specially designed for this occasion.

The dome is not just a shaded space protecting from the June sun but also a unique artistic structure made of fabric, wood, and other materials. It will be created through the joint efforts of FabLab, our textile lab, and the neighbours and participants who sign up for the free preparatory workshops.

In FabLab, we will design a lightweight dome structure made of 3D-printed components and wood. In the textile lab, we will craft waterproof fabric and laser-cut images of vegetation and animals from our surroundings, along with their scientific names. For visitors, the dome will provide shelter, a meeting point, and an opportunity to discover plant and animal species while also exploring an innovative construction—combining 3D-printed joints and wooden spacers.

On Saturday, 7 June, Neighbour’s Day will take place all day in Park izbrisanih. This event brings together local residents, organisations, associations, institutes, and institutions in the area, as well as anyone who feels like part of the community. It is dedicated to relaxed socializing, getting to know each other, and participating in various activities we will create together. On this day, Center Rog will open its doors wide, offering numerous free workshops, guided tours of the building and labs, sports activities, a community picnic, and a swap market, running throughout the evening.
