Rog Market (in Slovenian)

Spring is here, so in the Food Lab we will create our own little market! Children will be divided into groups and receive tokens representing their “money”. With these, they will “buy” ingredients from the market and decide which ones to use to prepare a balanced and tasty meal.

Before they start shopping, the mentor will teach them how to plan a dish, choose a proper base, and compose a meal that is healthy, tasty, and balanced. The children will then cook together, create their dishes, and present them, and in the end we will all enjoy the prepared lunch together.

During the workshop, children will:

• learn how to plan meals and manage a budget,
• discover how to choose ingredients and build a balanced dish,
• develop creativity and teamwork skills,
• gain basic knowledge of healthy eating in a fun, interactive way.

The workshop is suitable for children aged 8 and above.

About the mentor

The workshop will be led by Lea Mavec, mentor in the Food Lab.

Participants should arrive 15 minutes before the program starts in the entrance hall of Center Rog. Please store personal belongings in the lockers shown by the mentor. Please be on time, as late entry to the lab cannot be guaranteed.

The program is conducted in Slovene, unless otherwise stated.

In case of cancellation, you will be notified two days before the scheduled start.

If you cannot attend, fees are non-refundable and the date cannot be changed. Participation may be transferred to another person if we are informed at least 24 hours before the start at kuhanje@center-rog.si
