Preparatory Workshop for Neighbours’ Day: Flower Pot from a Bottle (in Slovenian)
3. 6. 2026
On the occasion of the upcoming Neighbours’ Day, celebrated on the first Saturday in June, we invite you to a preparatory workshop in the Glass Lab.
At the workshop, we will give discarded glass bottles a new life. We will learn how to cut, grind, and decorate them using engraving and etching techniques. From them, we will create unique glass pots that will become part of the plant exchange at Neighbours’ Day.
We invite everyone who would like to learn the basics of cold glass processing and, through hands-on work, explore how waste materials can be transformed into aesthetic and functional objects.
If you attend both sessions, you will also obtain training in cold glass processing, which is the foundation for independent work in the Glass Lab. The sessions will take place:
- Wednesday, 27 May 2026, 17:00–20:00
- Wednesday, 3 June 2026, 17:00–20:00

Participants should arrive 15 minutes before the start of the programme in the entrance lobby of Center Rog. Please store your personal belongings in the lockers, which will be shown to you by the mentor. Please do not be late, as this disrupts the working process. In case of late arrival, we unfortunately cannot guarantee entry into the lab.
The programme is held in Slovenian unless stated otherwise.
The programme is intended for participants aged 14 and above unless stated otherwise.
In case of cancellation, we will notify you two days before the scheduled start.
If you are unable to attend, participation fees are non-refundable and the date cannot be changed. You may transfer your participation to another person by informing us at least 24 hours before the start at steklokeramika@center-rog.si.
We look forward to your company and creating together!
The workshop is financially supported by the Creative Europe programme of the European Commission and the Craftwork4.0All project.
