Oloop Well-being: Embodied Emotions
8. 7. 2024
We invite everyone to a free participatory event of self-exploration with textiles and the Oloop collective. This event is for those who wish to delve into their own inner landscape of feelings and emotions through the creation of textiles, expressing and transforming them using primary techniques such as cutting, knotting, modeling, and wrapping textiles.
The material used holds special significance for the Oloop collective, as it is repurposed textile from the "Between Inside and Outside" project that took place in 2018. Once again, we will be exploring inner perceptions and translating them into external material forms, making them visible to ourselves and others.
The Oloop collective is active in various fields of visual creation—from product and spatial design to participatory and socially engaged practices. They are recognized for their inclusive, co-creative, and collaborative practices aimed at opening the creative process to anonymous individuals, groups, and communities who wish to participate. The goal of their creation is not only the production itself but also leading and empowering creative processes through which participants gain new knowledge and skills. The resulting products are expressions of co-creation, intertwining various practices and personal internal processes.
The workshop is intended for adults. The event is free of charge, but we recommend registration for easier coordination.
The O2OOP exhibition and accompanying events were created in co-production with the Rog Center and the Biennial of Textile Art BIEN (Zavod Carnica) and with financial support from the Municipality of Ljubljana (MOL) and the ACF Program (in Slovenia 2014-2021).
