From Idea to Prototype in the FabLab
15. 6. 2026
The From Idea to Prototype course is an introduction to the world of makers – curious creators who turn ideas into tangible products. You will learn to use modern tools such as a 3D printer, laser cutter, and digital modeling software, and develop your own prototype from your idea.
In the course, you will gain the knowledge and skills to design and create independently – from concept to physical product. The program includes lectures, practical exercises, and project presentations.
You will master the basics of digital fabrication (CAD/CAM) and use free software such as Inkscape, Onshape, and Prusa Slicer. Each participant will create a unique product, entirely based on their own idea.
Special feature: The program is based on accessible tools, so you can continue working at home. The biggest wow moment? When your idea first comes to life from the screen as a real object. Come and see for yourself!
What to expect:
- Understanding the maker mindset and creative approach
- Basics of digital design and fabrication technologies
- Learning to use the 3D printer, laser cutter, and other tools
