Pottery Wheel Shaping
29. 3. 2025

In this workshop, we will learn the basics of shaping clay on the wheel – from centering the clay to creating simple forms like cups and bowls. This is an introductory session on wheel throwing, as each participant will have the opportunity to try shaping their own piece on the wheel.
The workshop is suitable for complete beginners, so prior knowledge and experience are not necessary.
The goal is for participants to get their first feel for working on the pottery wheel and to learn basic shaping techniques. It is designed for relaxed learning and trying out making your own unique piece.
About the mentors:
The workshop will be led by Maja Kotar, a graduate designer of visual communications who works in ceramic design and graphic design. Under her brand Mala Maja, she creates unique ceramics, with special attention to pottery wheel shaping.
