Mini Marquetry Course
15. 12. 2025

Marquetry is an ancient technique of decorating wood by assembling thin pieces of veneer in different colors and textures to create decorative patterns. It is an extremely precise, handcraft skill that combines patience, a sense of form, and a love for wood.
In this course, you will learn the basics of marquetry – from selecting suitable veneer, preparing a design, precise cutting and assembling of wooden pieces, to gluing and final finishing. You will learn to use basic marquetry tools, recognize suitable materials, and understand fundamental rules of composition. By the end of the course, you will create your first marquetry piece – a decorative motif made of veneer.
