Making Molds for Chocolate
6. 3. 2025

Join us at the workshop, where we will use thermoforming to create personalized molds for chocolates, which can be given as gifts for Mother's Day or be enjoyed by ourselves. Thermoforming is a process where we heat sheets of artificial material and then shape them into the desired form. Using pre-cut parts, we will assemble a device, create simple molds, and proceed with making the molds. These molds can then be used to pour chocolate, or alternatively for pouring jewelry, fishing lures, and similar items.
We will utilize a laser cutter to assist in the mold-making process. Participants are encouraged to bring interesting small objects such as toy cars, large buttons, etc., to aid in creating unique molds.
At the end of the workshop, in addition to personalized chocolates in a box and the molds for them, each participant will take home their own device for making them.
No prior knowledge is required to participate in the workshop.
About the mentors:
The workshop will be led by Nuša Jurkovič, a mentor from FabLab and Andreja Špeh, mentor from Food Lab.
