Little Street: Summer Vacation at Center Rog
23. 8. 2024
The program at Center Rog will run daily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We will visit various production labs where we will explore the use of traditional and modern digital technologies. Most of our time will be spent tackling hands-on challenges: in the glass lab, we will learn glass engraving techniques and decorate glassware; in the green lab, we will plant our own terrariums. We will also learn the basics of 3D modeling using Thinkercad, design a unique pendant, and print it with a 3D printer. Additionally, we will work with wire and explore the tools and materials for jewelry making.
There will also be time for a visit to the Ljubljana City Library branch, playing board games, free play on the outdoor plaza, and exciting exploration of Center Rog.
The summer program is suitable for children from 2nd to 5th grade, especially those who enjoy hands-on creative activities. There will be 12 children in the group, supervised by trained staff from Little Street and mentors from Center Rog. When dropping off and picking up your child, you will have access to 15 minutes of free parking in the Center Rog garage. The garage entrance is from Petkovškovo Nabrežje.
The daily routine of the program will be adapted to the content and schedule, as well as to the weather and free activities on the plaza in front of Center Rog. The approximate daily schedule is as follows:
- 8:00 – 8:30 AM: Arrival of children, introductory games, and free play
- 8:30 – 9:30 AM: Breakfast preparation and breakfast
- 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Theme of the Day (Workshop in the fab lab, jewelry lab, ceramics lab, textile lab, green lab, and cooking lab)
