Join a Workshop Exploring the Flavors of Korean Cuisine!

We will focus on preparing one of the most popular Korean dishes – bulgogi. This traditional dish consists of thinly sliced beef marinated in a sweet and savory sauce made from soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and fruit. Bulgogi is cooked on a Korean grill, which keeps the meat juicy and gives it a unique smoky flavor. The dish is usually served not only with the marinated meat, but also with rice and fresh or steamed vegetables, creating a balanced and nutritious meal. In South Korea,

Bulgogi is so popular in South Korea that it can even be found in burgers!

In this workshop, under the guidance of our mentor, we will learn:

  • How to select and prepare the meat
  • The secrets of marinating for a juicy and flavorful dish
  • Proper techniques for grilling on a Korean barbecue
  • How to prepare accompanying rice and vegetables

In addition to the practical session, the mentor will share insights into healthy Korean eating and interesting facts from Korea’s rich culinary tradition.

Mentor:

Currently based in Slovenia, she explores the connections between local organic ingredients and Korean fermentation culture, advocating for a sustainable and joyful approach to food.

The workshop is organised in cooperation with the King Sejong Institute Ljubljana (KSI Ljubljana).
