Making a Cornhole Game
18. 9. 2025

In this workshop, we’ll combine hands-on woodworking with a fun outdoor game. You’ll learn the basics of working with plywood, precise assembly techniques, and create your very own functional cornhole board to take home. The textile lab will provide the game bags.
We’ll explore the properties of plywood and the fundamentals of working with it. Using a variety of tools, we’ll cut the board to size on a table saw, prepare the frame and legs with a miter saw, cut the hole with a jigsaw and a hand router (which we’ll also use to round off all edges). Then we’ll sand all surfaces and assemble the frame with screws.

During the workshop, you’ll gain principles of plywood construction that you can apply to future projects. Once the board is complete, we’ll introduce you to the basic rules of the game—and play a few rounds together!

Participants are asked to gather 15 minutes before the scheduled time in the entrance hall of Center Rog. Please store your personal belongings in the lockers shown by the mentor. Kindly avoid arriving late, as this disrupts the workflow. In case of delay, we unfortunately cannot guarantee entry to the lab.
The program will be conducted in Slovenian, unless otherwise specified.
If the workshop is canceled, you will be notified two days before the planned start date.
Please note that participation fees are non-refundable and dates cannot be rescheduled. However, you may transfer your spot to another person — just let us know at least 24 hours before the start of the program by emailing les@center-rog.si.
