Introductory CNC Mini Course: Cutting Board
17. 11. 2026
In this three-session course, we will explore the process from a 3D model to production on a CNC router. You will design and make your own beechwood cutting board, with the option of adding a simple decorative strip inlay.
We will prepare a 3D model in Onshape and a CAM setup in Fusion 360, defining machining operations, toolpaths and the programme for the CNC controller.
During practical work, we will select and measure cutting tools, set up the machine, secure the wooden workpiece and define the machining origin. We will monitor the routing and cutting process. Working on a practical object, you will explore the connection between digital design, material preparation and safe machine operation.
