Workshop on Making Products from Terrazzo
20. 12. 2024
We invite you to a creative and relaxed workshop on making terrazzo trays or mugs! In this workshop, we will create together using eco-friendly terrazzo, a durable building material that originates from Italy. Terrazzo is a special mix of marble, river gravel, or glass chips bound in a cement base, giving each product a unique, colorful, and elegant touch.
What you will experience in the workshop:
- You will learn about the history of terrazzo – did you know that the technique was known to the Romans?
- You will create your own beautiful product, such as a cake tray or jewelry, or a mug that will add a touch of Italian flair to your home.
The workshop is intended for design lovers, artists, and anyone who wants to learn about the classic terrazzo technique, which can be found in schools, kindergartens, and in the homes of our grandmothers.
About the mentor:
The workshop will be led by Lana Bregar, a director by profession (films and commercials), who is passionate about terrazzo and regularly conducts workshops on making various products in this technique at her studio, Pacon.
