At the workshop, participants will learn how to create crayons from recycled oil and natural pigments. We will introduce materials for making crayons and natural dyes that can be recognized even in your home environment (turmeric, dried red beets, etc.). Using a simple process of heating and mixing non-hazardous raw materials, we will produce and test crayons in the green lab, which the children can take home at the end of the workshop.

The workshop is meant for children from 8 to 14 years old.

About the mentors:

The programme will be led by a team of Green Lab mentors.

Zelimkhan Suleymanov is an architecture student, technologist, former mentor at RogLabau and now at the Rog Centre. In his @Khan.workshop he makes various prototypes, models, advertising signs. At home he is involved in aquaponics, growing micro vegetables and mycelium.
