As part of the Opening Days of the 6th International Ceramics Triennial UNICUM 2026, Center Rog will host a panel discussion on sustainability as one of the key concerns in contemporary ceramic practice.

The discussion will address material sourcing, production processes, energy use, longevity, and ethical responsibility. The panel will open a dialogue on how ceramic practitioners can respond to environmental challenges while maintaining artistic and material integrity.

The panel features Bartosz Brylewski, Danijela Pivašević, and Rok Oblak.
The discussion will be moderated by Petra Marinko.

Participants

Bartosz Brylewski is a Polish designer and ceramic artist whose practice moves between sculpture, collectible design, and material experimentation. His work explores texture, surface, and the transformative qualities of clay.

Danijela Pivašević is an artist, curator, and researcher working across contemporary art, craft, and material culture. Her interests include sustainable practices, ethical production, and the social and cultural implications of making.

Rok Oblak is an industrial and ceramic designer and independent cultural worker based in Ljubljana. His practice connects ceramics, craft, design, and sustainable material research, with a focus on wild clay, biomaterials, and experimental production processes.

Petra Marinko is an architect, founder of Non Tox Uni Kum and the Non Tox Hub Institute, and a New European Bauhaus Advisor working at the intersection of architecture, material health, sustainability, and culture.

The event is part of the UNICUM 2026 Opening Days Programme.
