Bluetooth speaker

For all those who enjoy music, electronics, and product design – at the Center Rog, we are organizing a mini course on making a Bluetooth speaker, completely "from scratch"!

Join us for a collaborative short course between FabLab and the textile lab, where visitors will design a personalized and stylish Bluetooth speaker. Participants will hone their skills at three different stations with various techniques: preparing files and laser cutting, understanding electronic components, their functioning, and soldering connections, and designing, preparing files, and executing embroideries on the embroidery machine in the textile lab.

The final result will be a Bluetooth speaker of any size, for which visitors will themselves assemble the electronic components, design the housing and cut it out of plywood, and add the necessary textile elements for better acoustics and any aesthetic finish. At the end of the course, participants will leave home with a neatly crafted practical speaker and three completed trainings – from all workstations used during the mini course. This opportunity should not be missed!

Prerequisites:

NO, it is not necessary. However, basic understanding of 3D object construction and fine motor skills are desirable. The course is intended for adults and teenagers (older adolescents) interested in music, crafts, electronics, product design, etc.

Does the workshop count as training?

YES, by participating in the workshop, you will complete training for the laser cutter, electronics station, and embroidery machine. Next time, you will be able to use these workstations independently during open sessions.

About the mentors:

The course will be led by Tauan Bernard, FabLab manager, product designer with years of experience managing FabLabs, Andrej Bertoncelj, FabLab mentor, specialist in electrical engineering, and Uroš Topić, textile lab manager, textile and fashion designer, tailor, and enthusiast of historical clothing.

Participants should meet 15 minutes before the agreed time in the entrance hall of the Center Rog. Please, before the start of the program, put your personal belongings in the locker rooms. Do not be late for the program. In case of delay, entry is not guaranteed - once the creative process begins, it is no longer possible to join in!

The workshop will be held with a minimum of 4 registrations. In case of non-execution, you will be informed at the latest two days before the start of the program.

We do not refund fees, nor is it possible to change the date. Attendance can be transferred to another person; please inform us at least 24 hours before the start by email: tekstil@center-rog.si.
