Learn how to create a silver ring with movable rings for meditation. This is a special type of kinetic ring with a rotating central part that calms you in stressful moments and serves as interactive jewelry for endless fun. In this in-depth silver jewelry design course, you will learn all the techniques necessary to create a beautiful final product with a professional finish. Once you master these skills, you will be able to make rings of various shapes, thicknesses, textures, and sizes.
What you will learn:
1st session:
Introduction to basic goldsmithing tools, sawing, filing, grinding, drilling
2nd session:
Introduction to advanced goldsmithing tools, soldering (joining different metal parts together), forging (surface treatment using various hammers)
3rd session:
Finalization to the finished product, including assembling all parts of the ring, forging, polishing
Duration: 3 sessions of 4 hours each

Prerequisites:
NO, no prior knowledge is required. The course is especially suitable for adults who have already completed training for Goldsmithing Table 1 and 2. The course is also an excellent starting point for those who are just learning to make silver jewelry.
Does the workshop count as training?
YES, by participating in the workshop, you will complete training for Goldsmithing Table 1 (valued at €30 for members/€40 for non-members), and next time you will be able to use this workstation independently during open sessions.
About the mentors:
The workshop will be led by mentors from the jewelry lab.
Goldsmith Master Tina Mežek, with her passion for jewelry art, develops a wide range of skills and knowledge. As a mentor at the Goldsmithing School in Tržič and a member of the team at the Jewelry Lab in Rog, she shares her knowledge with enthusiastic individuals.
Metka Mikuletič is a Master of Architecture and a jewelry designer who, after completing goldsmithing school, embarked on an independent design path. In her work, she combines traditional goldsmithing techniques and heritage with advanced design approaches, creating a unique connection between the past and the future. She operates under the jewelry brand Mimotho, which is conceptually, in terms of design and execution, closely related to architecture.

The assembly of participants is 15 minutes before the agreed time in the entrance hall of Center Rog. Please store personal items in the locker rooms before the program starts. Do not be late for the program. In case of late arrival, we do not guarantee entry - after the start of the creative process, it is no longer possible to join!
The workshop will be held with a minimum of 4 registrations. In case of non-execution, you will be informed no later than two days before the start of the program.
In case of non-attendance, we do not refund the fees, nor is it possible to change the term. Participation can be transferred to another person, please inform us at least 24 hours before the start at the email address: nakit@center-rog.si.
