Join the Craft & Sustainability Festival 2026 in Barcelona
How can craft, design, and creativity contribute to a more sustainable future? These are some of the key questions that the Craft & Sustainability Festival 2026 will explore in Barcelona, where makers and creators from across Europe will gather from 2 to 4 December 2026. As the Slovenian partner of the European project Craftwork 4.0 ALL, Center Rog invites creators from Slovenia to apply.
The festival will take place at the ESPRONCEDA Institute of Art and Culture and will offer three days of exhibitions, talks, workshops, networking opportunities, and the exchange of ideas among makers, artisans, craftspeople, and designers.
We Are Looking for Creators with a Sustainable Mindset
We welcome applications from anyone whose work explores:
- Sustainable materials and production processes
- Material reuse
- Recycling and upcycling
- Circular economy approaches
- Traditional craft techniques in contemporary contexts
- The intersection of craft and digital technologies
Whether you are just starting your creative journey or are already an established practitioner, what matters most is the quality of your work and its connection to the festival themes.
Two Ways to Participate
1. Showcase Your Work in Barcelona
Selected participants will present their projects as part of an international exhibition, join panel discussions, and connect with creators and organizations from twelve European countries.
Beyond increased visibility and valuable new contacts, the festival offers an excellent opportunity to become part of European creative networks and future collaborative projects.
Travel, accommodation, and meals will be covered for selected participants.
2. Join Online
In addition to the on-site festival programme, an online seminar, Business and Financial Skills for Craftspeople and Creatives, will take place on 4 December 2026. The seminar is designed for makers and creative professionals who want to strengthen the business and financial aspects of their practice. Participants will gain practical knowledge in pricing, cost calculation, revenue planning, and building financially sustainable creative businesses.
The seminar also includes practical exercises, access to learning materials, and a certificate of participation.
What Will You Gain?
Participants will receive:
- International exposure for their work
- Opportunities to connect with European partners and fellow creators
- Inclusion in festival documentation and online showcases
- A Craftwork 4.0 ALL certificate
- Access to a wider European community working in craft, design, and sustainability
