On April 20 and 21, 2026, a two-day international Creative Glass Forum will take place in Belgrade, focusing on the heritage of glassmaking and its intersection with innovative, sustainable approaches.

The program of the first day features discussions on knowledge transfer in glassmaking, circular design, and the development of craftsmanship in a contemporary context. The second day is thematically connected to the project Glassmaking Between Tradition and Innovation (GTMI), a Creative Europe project in which Center Rog participates as a partner. The project explores how traditional glassmaking techniques can serve as a starting point for contemporary, sustainable, and experimental practices, with an emphasis on the circular economy and the creative reuse of materials.

Among other activities, Brigita Gantar and Anja Radović from the glass-ceramics lab of Center Rog will lead a workshop as part of the Creative Glass LAB—an open innovation laboratory where conference participants will be able to try glass engraving using traditional patterns and techniques from Slovenia and Serbia.

The Creative Glass Forum, which addresses questions about the future of glassmaking in the context of sustainability and innovation, will take place from April 20–21 2026 at Kuća umetnica (Gospodar-Jevremova 25, Belgrade, Serbia).

The event will be held in English and is open to the public. Prior registration is not required.

The GTMI project is funded by the European Union under @CreativeEurope program.
