Flameworking
A workstation for shaping glass over an open flame is used in techniques such as lampworking and flameworking, where the glass is heated with a torch and shaped into small, precise forms.
The workstation includes:
- Flame for flameworking
- Tweezers
- Cutting knives
- Graphite molds
- Cooling kiln: Nabertherm Glass Beads Cooling
Suitable materials:
Borosilicate glass, Murano glass
Usage time (including preparation and cleaning):
- duration of one time slot is 2 hours
- station usage possible: 2–6 hours/day
- reservation is possible at least 1 hour and no more than 7 days before the start of the time slot
- cancellation of the reservation is possible up to 2 hours before the time slot
- with timely cancellation, the same single-entry ticket can be used again
To make a reservation, I need:
Completed training for flameworking + user package:
- single-entry ticket or
- monthly package (number of visits within the monthly package: 20) or
- annual package (number of visits within the annual package: 30/month)
