Taja Recek
Taja Recek is a designer working at the intersection of architecture, engineering design and new technologies research. She graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, majoring in architecture, and holds a Master's degree in engineering product design from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Her work is based on finding new possibilities within known materials and integrating modern technologies into the design process. She is particularly interested in questioning functionality and aesthetics through innovative use of materials. Her current research practice focuses on 3D clay printing as a sustainable and expression-rich production process. She is interested in both the technical limitations and aesthetic potentials of this technology. The aim of her research is to develop an original collection of furniture produced through 3D clay printing, combining digital precision with the material imperfection and naturalness of ceramics. During the residency, Taja will experiment with different clay mixtures and shapes, developing prototypes that will form the basis for her future collection.
On residency from 19th to 31st May 2025.
