Lea Kirstein
Lea Kirstein combines backgrounds in textile, social, and graphic design - working with textiles as a narrative material that connects people and natural ecosystems. As a student of Marjetica Potrč, she participated in social design projects in communities in Germany, Mexico, Greece, and Israel/Palestine. Continuing her studies in Hamburg, Germany, and Bangkok, Thailand, she conducted artistic research on craft and ritual practices and textile narratives. In 2020, she co-founded the collective Feinkost Mu:ller based in Hamburg, providing designers with a space for workshops and a platform for networking and selling their works. Today, she works as a consultant for textile circularity and recycling, and as a designer/artist focused on sustainable materials and communication.
We will host Lea between 16. 10. and 16. 11. 2023.
