Bojana Križanec
Bojana Križanec is a Slovenian artist who has found her creative expression in designing one-of-a-kind plates served by the best Slovenian chefs. AFter enrolling in the School of Applied Arts Famul Stuart, she switched her career as an economist and pursuing the career of a professional sculptor and designer. She finds inspiration for her designs in everyday life: in the beauty of a pebble during a run, in clouds racing across the sky, in a piece of polished glass... Bojana Križanec creates her plates in close collaboration with top chefs. Each of her plates has its own sound, warmth, color, and character. She particularly studies the sensory experience of eating, the ways of enjoying food, and the enjoyment of it. Therefore, she will develop a series of sensory plates at the Rog Center. In her work, she will mainly use wood, ceramics, and glass labs. She lives and works in Rogatec and Celje. As part of a fourteen-day residency for Slovenian creators, we will host Bojana in Rog Center from April 9th to April 21st, 2024.
