Anna Resei
Anna Resei is a speculative designer who explores climate change, migration, and storytelling through materials. As part of her residency at Center Rog, she will create a wooden table that will serve both as a functional object and a starting point for a conversation about climate change and cultural identity. She found inspiration in the traditional "Bauernstube" (farmhouse room). The table will reflect the shift of the forest boundary in the Karawanks due to climate change. She will use local, reused materials, traditional joints, and modern CNC techniques. She will incorporate offset legs and inlays into the design as a symbol of environmental instability and transformation. As a mentor, she will also participate in this year's RogCreathon, where she will lead a design challenge that invites participants to create useful objects for a world shaped by climate change, migration, and nomadic lifestyles.
