Beginner Crochet Course

Crochet is a relaxing handcraft with a rich tradition and endless creative possibilities. In this beginner course, you will learn basic and some advanced crochet techniques, understand the full process of creating a crocheted item, and gain skills that will allow you to independently craft unique pieces from wool or recycled materials.

You will also explore different patterns, tricks, and materials for your projects and experience how crochet can become a pleasant, meditative activity for calming the mind and expressing creativity.

Mentor:
The course is led by Ivana Drakulić, Master of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology and documentary filmmaker from Slovakia, living and working in Slovenia since 2016. Ivana has been crocheting since childhood and shares her expertise through workshops and courses. In the 2024/2025 season, she led an adult crochet group at Center Rog.

Participants should arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start in the entrance hall of Center Rog.
Please store your personal belongings in the lockers provided by the instructor. Do not be late, as this disrupts the workshop process. Entry to the lab cannot be guaranteed in case of delay.

The program is conducted in Slovenian.
In case of cancellation, we will notify you two days before the scheduled start. If you cannot attend, fees are non-refundable and the session cannot be rescheduled. You may transfer your spot to another person, provided you notify us at least 24 hours before the program start at tekstil@center-rog.si.
