Gardening meet up - Autumn Season (in Slovenian)

The Gardening meet up brings together a community of gardening enthusiasts who care for the green oasis in the park of Center rog. At the meetings, we will plan and maintain raised beds, exchange seeds, and discuss suitable varieties for urban gardening.

Together we will sow, plant, and care for the plants, exchange experiences, and share practical tips. We will also focus on composting and explore sustainable gardening practices. We will follow the plants from seed to harvest – part of the harvested vegetables will occasionally be used in communal cooking.

We have already completed two successful gardening seasons, during which we grew a diverse range of vegetables. Cucumbers, zucchini, and sweet peas thrived especially well, and we also experimented with less common plants, such as Mexican cucumbers and peanuts. This year, with new knowledge and experience, we expect an even richer season.

In the spring part of the club, we sowed spring and summer vegetables, and in the autumn part, we will harvest the produce and plan the autumn planting.

The workshop is open to all gardening enthusiasts, regardless of prior experience. Everyone who wants to connect with a community of gardeners, share their knowledge, and gain new skills in urban gardening is welcome.

The gathering of participants is 15 minutes before the scheduled time in the entrance lobby of Center rog. Please store your personal belongings in the lockers that will be shown to you by the mentor. Do not be late for the program, as this disrupts the working process. In case of lateness, entry to the lab unfortunately cannot be guaranteed.

The program takes place in Slovenian, unless stated otherwise.

In case of cancellation, we will inform you two days before the planned start.

If you cannot attend the program, participation fees are not refunded, and the term cannot be exchanged. You can transfer your participation to another person, about which please inform us at least 24 hours before the start at zeleni@center-rog.si
