Vietnamese Dinner

In this workshop, we will prepare a traditional Vietnamese dinner. This won’t be the typical street food popular among tourists, but rather authentic homemade dishes that Vietnamese families traditionally enjoy together. Our menu will include aromatic rice, pork in coconut water, marinated and fried vegetables, and green soup with shrimp. For dessert, we will indulge in spicy pineapple, and to complete the experience, we will enjoy authentic Vietnamese green tea.

We will chop, marinate, fry, simmer, and serve our dishes the Vietnamese way. No prior cooking experience is needed—just curiosity and a love for Asian cuisine.

During the workshop, you will discover unique recipes and culinary secrets that cannot be learned without a mentor who carries the culture. Join us for an evening of great company, cultural insights, and delicious Vietnamese food.

About the mentor:

The workshop will be led by Pham Nina, a Vietnamese chef who, before moving to Slovenia, managed a network of Vietnamese restaurants specializing in noodles. She is passionate about cooking and enjoys bringing people together through food. In Slovenia, she plans to open a Vietnamese restaurant and organize cultural and gastronomic eventsshowcasing Vietnam’s rich culinary heritage.

Participants should gather 15 minutes before the scheduled time in the entrance hall of Center Rog. Please store your personal belongings in the lockers provided, as instructed by the mentor. Do not arrive late, as this disrupts the workflow. In case of delay, we unfortunately cannot guarantee entry into the lab.

If the workshop is canceled, you will be notified two days in advance.

If you are unable to attend, fees are non-refundable, and rescheduling is not possible. However, you may transfer your spot to another person – please inform us at least 24 hours before the workshop via email at kuhanje@center-rog.si.
