Training: Green Lab/Laboratory

Green Lab is a space where we can cultivate living organisms under laboratory conditions, from fungi and plants to microorganisms, or create products from various natural materials, such as mycelium, resin, paper pulp, natural fibers, and kombucha leather.

During the training, we will learn about different technologies and processes needed for this, and, above all, we will learn how to handle laboratory equipment: laminar flow cabinets, autoclaves, distillers, various ovens and dryers, heaters, scales, microscopes, pH meters, and freezers (-80°C), as well as various chemicals that we have in stock for our first experiments.

We will introduce the basics of sterile work, the first steps in preparing growth media, and working with microorganisms, fungi, and other living organisms.

The training lasts 2 hours and applies to the Laboratory work station. It will be led by the head of the Green Lab, Maruša Ramšak.

Participants in the program should gather 15 minutes before the scheduled time in the entrance hall of the Rog Center. Please store personal belongings in the lockers before the program starts. Do not be late for the program. In case of tardiness, entry is not guaranteed – once the creative process begins, it is no longer possible to join in!

The programme is held in Slovene language unless stated otherwise.

In case of non-attendance, the training fee is non-refundable, and rescheduling is not possible. However, you can transfer your participation to another person. Please inform us by email at zeleni@center-rog.si at least 24 hours before the start.
