Training: Kilns for Ceramics

The training for kiln use in the Ceramics Lab is designed to introduce you to the firing process of clay products, how to prepare items for firing, and how to properly load the kiln. The training consists of a theoretical overview and a practical component, during which we will fill and unload one of the kilns together.

After completing the training, you will be able to independently rent a full kiln. You will load and unload the kiln on your own, while the firing itself will still be carried out by the Glass and Ceramics Lab team.

The training is suitable for participants aged 14 and above.

Participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the program at the main entrance hall of Center Rog. Please store your personal belongings in the lockers shown to you by the mentor. Kindly avoid being late, as late arrivals disrupt the work process. In case of lateness, entry to the lab unfortunately cannot be guaranteed.

The program is conducted in Slovenian, unless otherwise stated.

If the training is cancelled, you will be notified two days prior to the scheduled start.

If you are unable to attend the program, participation fees are non-refundable, and date changes are not possible. You may transfer your spot to another person—please inform us at least 24 hours in advance by email: steklokeramika@center-rog.si
