Training: Goldsmith Table Usage / 2nd level
25. 3. 2025

Goldsmithing is one of the oldest professions, combining art, craft and technology, which you will learn about through both theory and practice.
The Goldsmith's Table Level 2 training is for anyone who has already completed the Goldsmith's Table 1 training and already knows how to use hand tools such as a saw, files and a micromotor, but is not yet familiar with more advanced techniques and tools.
At the Jewellery Lab's Goldsmith's Table Level 2 training, you will learn the most important classic goldsmithing processes, such as:
- Soldering: Joining different parts of metal together to form a whole (e.g. joining a ring band) by heating the metal with a flame.
- Polishing: The use of a classic goldsmith's polishing machine to bring the products to a high shine
- Drum polishing: Mechanical surface treatment of metals which gives a high gloss to products by means of centrifugal force and steel pellets.
In addition to the theory, you will also see all the processes in practice, as each participant will use a flame to solder (join) their first metal ring and then polish it.
You will work with copper or brass and learn about the basic properties of both materials.
After the training, with the approval of the mentor, you will be able to start using the machines and tools independently after the first introduction.
Training is suitable for participants aged 14 or older.
