Training: Goldsmith Table Usage / 1st level
18. 3. 2025

Goldsmithing is one of the oldest professions, combining art, craft and technology, which you will learn about through both theory and practice. The Goldsmith's Table Training Level 1 is meant for beginners who are getting to know jewellery making for the first time.
The training will introduce you to the most important classical goldsmithing processes, such as:
- Sawing: Learning how to use a saw correctly to cut metals accurately.
- Drilling with a micromotor: Using drill bits to create holes and patterns.
- Grinding: working metals using a variety of coarse and fine files and metal working abrasive papers.
- Forging and bending: Shaping metal with a hammer and other tools.
- Rolling: Using rollers to thin sheet metal and wire.
You will work with copper or brass and along the way learn about the basic properties of both materials.
After the training, you will be able to start using the machines and tools independently after the first introduction, with the approval of the trainer.
Training is suitable for participants aged 14 or older.
