Bag with digital print
23. 5. 2025

If you've ever wanted a tote bag for everyday use—one that's truly unique and features your own custom pattern—this is your chance.
In the Textile Lab, we’re hosting a mini workshop on digital textile printing (which also serves as training for the Mimaki textile printer) and sewing a simple tote bag for everyday and everywhere. The printed content can be anything you like, and the choice of colours and complexity of the design is entirely up to you. If you've designed a multicoloured pattern or taken a photo you'd love to see come alive on a practical item, digital printing is the perfect technique.
The printed fabric will be cut and sewn into a neat tote bag. While prior sewing knowledge is welcome, it’s not required—the product is simple enough for complete beginners to sew.
- What kind of photo do I need, and how should I prepare it?
The image file can be a standard JPEG, but it’s important that the photo has a high enough resolution for the final bag dimensions (front panel size: 31 cm x 38 cm). You’ll need an image sized 40 cm x 45 cm if you’d like the same photo on both the front and back panel, or two separate images with the same dimensions. The photo can also extend from the front to the back panel (in that case, it should be 40 cm wide and 90 cm tall). In short, there are many possibilities.
Send the prepared image to: tekstil@center-rog.si, where we’re also available for any questions you might have.
Duration: 3 x 4 hours
