The sewing course for a summer dress is a new module within the year-long course program, which is of a difficulty level between Module 4 (sewing a shirt) and Module 5 (sewing a bomber jacket).

This is the first of the home sewing courses, where participants will create the pattern for the garment from scratch. They will learn the basics of pattern construction for the bodice, which serves as an excellent foundation for many other types of clothing (such as a dress with sleeves, a corset, a tailored shirt, etc.), especially when combined with skills from the previous sewing courses.

Participants will start with the same pattern base and then adjust the bottom part of the dress to their preferences. The dress can be short and fitted, long and flowy, with a gathered hem, ruffled, and so on. Because the amount of fabric varies depending on the type of dress and the size of the skirt, fabric is not included in the course fee.
