Basics of Vegan Cooking

This cooking workshop is designed for everyone who is new to vegan cuisine, wants to discover what’s in a vegan pantry, or simply wants to try making some easy and delicious dishes. The workshop is also great for those who don’t eat exclusively vegan but want to enjoy healthy and diverse meals.

We will learn how to prepare:

• Scrambled tofu with Swiss chard and sun-dried tomatoes
• Colorful chickpea omelet
• Vegan lasagna with pea chunks
• Mini cherry tarts

During the workshop, participants will also discover basic vegan cooking tricks and receive plenty of tips for a healthy, environmentally friendly, and animal-friendly lifestyle. Each participant will receive a booklet with 28 recipes. We will cook using affordable and accessible ingredients and, at the end, enjoy all the dishes together.

Mentor
Maja Hrovat is the president and a team member of the Slovenian Vegan Society and a passionate lover of vegan cuisine. She frequently leads cooking workshops and gives lectures on vegan cooking tricks. She holds a doctorate in veterinary medicine and dedicates most of her time at the society to organizing Vegafest, the Vegan Challenge, and other similar projects.

Participants are asked to gather 15 minutes before the scheduled time in the entrance hall of Center Rog. Please store your personal belongings in the lockers shown by the mentor. Kindly avoid arriving late, as this disrupts the workflow.

The program will be conducted in Slovenian, unless otherwise specified.

If the workshop is canceled, you will be notified two days before the planned start date.

Participation fees are non-refundable, and dates cannot be rescheduled. However, you may transfer your spot to another person — please inform us at least 24 hours before the start of the program by emailing kuhanje@center-rog.si.
