Oloop collective's retrospective exhibition

The women's design collective Oloop is celebrating 20 years of activity! You are invited to visit a retrospective exhibition in the main exhibition hall of Center Rog from Thursday, June 20th to Saturday, August 17th.

The Oloop Collective consist of artists and designers Tjaša Bavcon, Katja Burger Kovič, and Jasmina Ferček and has been active since 2003. They are engaged in various fields of visual creation, from product design and spatial installations to textile art. Oloop also conducts training sessions, lectures, and workshops, connecting design with socially engaged projects. Their products and projects are featured in the most important showcases of Slovenian design both at home and abroad.

The exhibition offers a journey through the group's twenty-year social design practice, showcasing numerous products, creative processes, and projects that Oloop has created in participatory and socially engaged projects, as well as projects that have promoted the empowerment of participants. The exhibition highlights themes the group has dealt with in the past that are still relevant today—the importance of manual work, collaboration and co-creation, building textile communities, and empowering women. These themes, or rather values, are revisited in theory and practice during the exhibition's accompanying events.

The exhibition creates a collective space for meetings, exchanges, collaborative creation, reflection, and learning. You are invited to attend a diverse program with creative workshops for all generations, discussions, and lectures. You are kindly invited to visit the exhibition and join us at the events.

The exhibition has free entrance and is open weekdays from 8 AM to 10 PM and Saturdays from 8 AM to 6 PM. Closed on Sundays and holidays. The exhibition will be open until August 17th 2024.

The O2OOP exhibition and accompanying events were created in co-production with the Rog Center and the Biennial of Textile Art BIEN (Zavod Carnica) and with financial support from the Municipality of Ljubljana (MOL) and the ACF Program (in Slovenia 2014-2021).
