My First 3D Print

At the workshop, we will show you how to transfer your idea from a sketch to a computer and from the computer to a 3D printer. Using the Tinkercad program, children will design their unique keychain pendant, which they will print and take home.

First, we will introduce children to the interface and tools of the Tinkercad program. With step-by-step instructions, we will guide them in designing their keychain pendant. Imagination knows no bounds here; they will have the freedom to choose shapes, colors, and add text or symbols. Once their designs take shape, we will help them export models into a format suitable for 3D printing and explain the process of 3D printing and how their designs will transform into physical objects. We will prepare 3D printers and print colorful keychain pendants.

The workshop is intended for children aged 8 to 14 years. It will be led by FabLab mentor Nuša Jurkovič.

Participants must bring their own laptop with a mouse to the workshop.

Participants are to gather 5 minutes before the agreed-upon time in the entrance hall of the Center Rog. Children participate in the workshop without parental supervision.

The workshop will be conducted with a minimum of 4 registrations. In case of cancellation, you will be notified no later than two days before the start of the program.

Participation can be transferred to another person; please inform us at least 24 hours before the start via email at fablab@center-rog.si.
